‘AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON’ now shooting; ‘EPISODE VII’ begins in MAY.

hnng.

Combining both of these non-news news reports into one Titanic Machination of Non-News. Why? ‘Cause I cannot wait for 2015. It’s going to have HUGE, HUGE fucking RAMIFICATIONS on my life. No! Not my marriage, you idiots. (Thought that’s happening. 6.6.2015. Write it down, boners.) Instead, two of the biggest movies I’ve ever sweated are dropping.

Briefly: By now we all know Star Wars Episode VII news isn’t official unless it comes from the official website. Even so, up until now Lucasfilm and Disney aren’t giving fans anything like the kind of intense minutia we’re all interested in. When it comes to a movie like this, we want to know every little detail. Today, HitFix has a pretty good report, however.

Just as writer director J.J. Abramshinted at a few weeks back, filming of the new episode will begin in Mid-May and continue through September of this year, leaving about one year for post production. They site has also learned “most principal casting on the film is complete, with many announcements still to come.” [HitFix]

The journey to May 1, 2015 begins February 11, 2014. Earlier today, Joss Whedonbegan production on Avengers: Age of Ultron in Johannesburg, South Africa. The crew will film on location for two weeks before going to Italy, South Korea and finally UK’s Pinewood Studios where the majority of the film will be shot.

According to reports, the opening 10 minutes of the film are set in the major South African city. However, none of the film’s stars – Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, etc. – are filming yet. We’ll surely learn more as production rolls along, but for now: it’s on! [SA News & IoL]
