ModernWarfare3.com Redirects To Official Battlefield 3 Website. Amazing.

Activision and EA are going at one another big this winter. Battlefield 3 is getting released around the same time as Modern Warfare 3, in a direct challenge of CoD’s sales dominance. Some interesting side-battle cropped up this week. You see, ModernWarfare3.com now redirects the surfer to the official Battlefield 3 website.

Corporate slap fight!

Daily Blam:

Yesterday, the domain ModernWarfare3.com, apparently not in possession of  Modern Warfare publisher Activision, was redirected to none other than the official  Battlefield 3website. Information on the domain doesn’t give any clue as to who owns the it or why Activision hadn’t purchased the site name long in advance, but it has been revealed that ModernWarfare3.com was bought in 2009 and laid dormant until yesterday. Neither publisher has spoken out about the incident, but circumstances are leading some to assume that EA has acquired the domain and is using it to siphon away gamers looking for the actual  Call of Duty website. Look and see for yourself by going toModernWarfare3.com

Activision has led the winter for the past god knows how many years with its Golden Uddered Slam Pig franchise, Call of Duty. Activision would grab CoD’s tits, squirting warm curdling milk into the mouth of anyone who dared challenge them for winter dominance. Well, EA is closing its mouth and going in this year with Battlefield 3.

I love the audacity, and I also love this sort of political bullshit. What the fuck were you thinking, Activision? You didn’t buy ModernWarfareWhateverNumber.com like five years ago? Amateur hour.
