‘Project Resistance’ Trailer: Capcom’ next ‘Resident Evil’ title looks like a squad-based survival game

New teaser trailer for the next Resident Evil jam! Seemingly a spin-off, it looks similar to Resident Evil: Outbreak.

Polygon:

Project Resistance has been revealed ahead of the Tokyo Game Show as a “brand-new team-based survival horror experience,” perhaps similar to Resident Evil Outbreak.

The game looks like a four-player cooperative game using online multiplayer and features a variety of characters going against a robot man who seems to be in control. The robot man looks similar to Mr. X from Resident Evil 2, but we can’t be sure if it’s him or not.

While being teased, the new game was dubbed Project Resistance, though it seems like the game will be keeping this title. Fans will be able to watch gameplay at the Capcom booth during Tokyo Game Show at set times. Japanese residents will get to go hands-on with the game, but only if they’ve registered in advance.

Resident Evil fans have been expecting an online multiplayer game, following leaked screenshots showing four different characters holding weapons.

Project Resistance will be released on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
