Remedy (creators of ‘Alan Wake’) announced their next jam ‘Control’ will drop on August 27

It ain’t the sequel to Alan Wake that I so, so, so fucking desperately want. But, Remedy has announced that their next game Control is dropping this August, and I’m stoked.

Gaming Bolt:

A recent listing on the Microsoft Store pointed to Remedy Entertainment’s Control, a surreal Metroidvania shooter, releasing in August. We’ve only heard the developer talk about a Summer release window. However, Game Informer has since confirmed with the studio that Control is indeed out on August 27th.

Arriving for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Control sees new appointed Federal Bureau of Control director Jesse Faden battling a mysterious supernatural threat. She must make her ways through the halls of The Oldest House, the FBC’s HQ, and attempt to piece together the mystery behind the invaders named Hiss. To assist her, Faden will wield a multi-purpose sidearm called the Service Weapon.

The PC version of Control was recently announced to be a timed exclusive for the Epic Games Store. That means it will only be available through Epic’s storefront for a year after launch. If you’re not a fan of the Epic Games Store, there’s still hope – the company is tying up with the Humble Store to sell keys through its storefront.
