Vin Diesel shares first poster for ‘Fast 8’

fast and fast and fast

Vin Diesel has shared the first poster for Fast 8, the, uh, eight installment in the Fast and the Furious and the Furiously Fast franchise. Get hyped?

The Verge:

Gathering together pretty much everything we know so far about the new Fast & Furious entry – when it’ll be out, and where it’ll partly be set, for example – Vin Diesel hit social media to debut the first proper poster for what is going to be called Fast 8.

Following on from the previous movie, which in the States at least was simply known as Furious 7, the next instalment goes for a brief title, which does make us wonder whether the names will become increasingly short, with F9 and, to the confusion of Bo Derek fans everywhere, simply 10.

Diesel has previously said that Dom and the crew will headed to New York for some of the movie, while there has been talk of potentially shooting in Cuba now that the restrictions are being lifted between the country and the US. That, of course, remains to be seen, and director F. Gary Gray is still just scouting locations.

A bigger challenge will be following on the massive success of Fast & Furious 7, which tragically had to say goodbye to Paul Walker and pushed the franchise to new box office heights. Fast 8 – or whatever it ends up being known as here – will be out on April 14, 2017, apparently a couple of days ahead of the US release on April 17.
