‘Captain America: Civil War’ concept art reveals Captain America and Iron Man’s teams

Maybe! It’s “purported” concept art. But I’m buying it for two reasons. First, it’s as craptacular looking as all Marvel concept art. Second, it confirms the reports of who was on what side from a bit back. Thoughts?

CBR:

A new video posted by Comic Book Movie claims to reveal the lineups that will go head-to-head in “Captain America: Civil War.” The film will pit Marvel’s heroes against each other, and the concept art shows off the two distinct teams: Captain America’s and Iron Man’s. While the art has not been confirmed as official by Marvel, here’s a spoiler alert for those that don’t want to know where the heroes will align.

The concept art shows both the lineups of the two teams as well as an image of them charging into battle against each other.
Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Sharon Carter, Falcon and Winter Soldier make up Captain America’s side. War Machine, Black Widow, Black Panther and Vision are standing with Iron Man.

These pieces of concept art do not totally contradict a rumor that circulated earlier this month regarding the film’s alliances, although the art does have a few notable differences. Scarlet Witch, who was rumored to be on Captain America’s side, is not included in either piece of art. Sharon Carter has been added to Cap’s side after not being part of the earlier rumor. You can also see what appears to be a birdlike drone flying overhead; previous rumors have stated that Falcon’s bird partner Redwing would be worked into the film in that manner.

Iron Man’s side is missing Spider-Man, who was part of the earlier rumor, and instead counts Black Panther as a member — despite Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige’s insistence that Chadwick Boseman’s character represents a “third party.”
