‘Star Wars: Rogue one’ has cast Jiang Wen

Rogue One.

Here’s a new dollop of slop pseudo-news from the bucket of Star Wars banality that I eat from constantly.

Spin-Off:

Jiang Wen will reportedly star in the upcoming “Star Wars: Rogue One” anthology film from “Godzilla” director Gareth Edwards, according to Yahoo! Singapore.

Wen is a screenwriter and director as well as star in China. His past credits include  “Warriors of Heaven and Earth,” “Let the Bullets Fly” and “Gone with the Bullets.” No details about his reported role in “Rogue One” have surfaced at this time.

Felicity Jones is the only actor officially announced for “Rogue One,” which focuses on a band of resistance fighters who set out on a daring missions to steal the Death Starplans from the Empire (just before the events of “Star Wars: A New Hope”). However, Riz Ahmed, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker and Jonathan Aris have been rumored for roles.
