Christopher Meloni Elaborates On His Role In “Man of Steel.’

Christopher Meloni has opened up in a wonderfully vague way regarding his role in the next Superman cinema experience time. He starts by denying that he’ll be playing Lex Luthor, which reminded me of something. I hadn’t even thought of Luthor being in this movie, or who would play him.

Anyways.

So just who the hell is he playing?

Slashfilm:

In a conversation with Vulture, Meloni revealed that he would not be Lex Luthor, as some had speculated. Instead, he’ll be playing a general (which also rules out Perry White, unless Snyder has really shaken things up). Meloni also offered that he would begin his five months of filming near the end of August, and that he’d be working in Chicago, Vancouver, and the Edwards Air Force Base. However, that was as far as Meloni was willing to go— when asked for further details, Meloni reportedly said, “I can’t tell you, or I’d have to kill you.”

Any guesses as to the importance and/or identity of said General?
