Latino Review says Whedon is attempting to find an actor to play HYDRA leader Baron Von Strucker. They haven’t offered the role to anyone, but two names they’re looking at are Martin Csokas and Dougray Scott.

How will the immortal military leader fit in? According to the report, Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) might work for Von Strucker early in the film. That hint, and what little we know about Captain America: The Winter Soldier, links the thoughts together. We know that film is a major lead into Age of Ultron, and since HYDRA created the Winter Soldier, there’s certainly some kind of major evil person at the helm. And if they have one superhero working for them, maybe they also have a brother and sister too.

Until someone else is cast, or we see The Winter Soldier, this should be considered a rumor, but it suggests Ultron might not be the only person who has some issues with The Avengers come May 2015.

So that’s the latest rumor in regard to the film. What do you think?

UPDATEHitFix confirms Baron Von Strucker is in the film, and describes his role as follows:

In “Age Of Ultron,” Baron Von Strucker is the initial threat, the guy they’re fighting at the start of the film. He does not have a major ongoing role in the film, but he is responsible for bringing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into contact with the Avengers in the first place, since they start the film working either with or or the Baron. If you look at this like a James Bond movie, Von Strucker’s the bad guy they’ll take care of in the pre-credits sequence before they move into the main story. Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch have a complicated journey in this film, and the question of whether they’re good or bad is one of the big things driving the movie over.
