John Krasinski announces ‘The Quiet Place 2’ has wrapped filming but who cares the first was a middling yawn

the quiet place 2 wrapped filming

Yeah, I’m posting about The Quiet Place 2 just to remind folks: it was a patently dumb movie, that was absurdly worshipped by people. People, I can only imagine, who have never seen a horror movie before. Don’t fucking @ me.

CBR:

The sequel to 2018’s surprise blockbuster A Quiet Place has completed principal photography.

Director John Krasinski, who both starred in and directed the first film, announced the completion of production on social media early on Wednesday. Krasinski posted a photo of himself and wife Emily Blunt, who returns in the sequel, as they strolled down a bridge hand-in-hand. The bridge in the photo, of course, was featured in the first film in one of its most pivotal scenes.

Early on in A Quiet Place, we see the family as they head into town to gather supplies from the vacated stores, and in the process are forced to cross the bridge while doing so. Unfortunately, on one fateful outing, the couple’s youngest child is snatched from the bridge and presumed dead.

As it stands, very little is known about A Quiet Place 2. Krasinski’s character, Lee Abbott, is still very much dead, leaving Blunt’s Evelyn Abbott to lead the film alongside Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, who are returning as Regan Abbott and Marcus Abbott respectively.

Joining the cast in a mysterious role is actor Cillian Murphy. His character is said to be a stranger with unknown intentions for the surviving family unit, whom he joins. Also joining the project is actor Djimon Hounsou, who boarded the project after Brian Tyree Henry was forced to exit due to scheduling conflicts.
