‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ Story Trailer: We Were Meant For This, Nathan

The Mary Sue:

One of the best things about the Uncharted video game series is its flair for the cinematic and dramatic. Both of these things come out to play in this brand new story trailer for the franchise’s fourth and final title: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Naughty Dog really rolls up their sleeves on this one, as it’s one of the most pretty darn thrilling trailers I’ve ever seen, movie or video game. That’s perhaps their greatest strength, as time and again, the Unchartedseries is pointed to as one of the finest examples of storytelling in the genre.

A Thief’s End centers around series mainstay Nathan Drake’s reunion with his brother, Sam. The game’s subtitle, A Thief’s End, carries with it not only the implication that someone is likely to not make it out of this sequel alive, but it also promises the end of the series, which this fourth iteration has always been said to be.

Maybe that’s why I’m in love with this trailer so much. As a long-time fan of the series, a not so small part of me understands that this is likely the last story trailer I’ll ever be seeing that features the characters I’ve come to love.

I want to know what you think, though. Are you excited for the game, which is slated to come out really soon on April 26th?
