Thor - Ragnarok

It’s amazing that we have details about Thor: Ragnarok before we have a script. It’s uh, a real look into how the hot dogs are made over there at Marvel Studios.

CBR:

Screenwriter Stephany Folsom has been hired to work on the script for Marvel Studios’upcoming “Thor: Ragnarok,” as reported Wednesday by The Hollywood Reporter. Comics writers and Marvel adaptation veterans Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle worked on a previous version of the script.Taika Waititi retmains on board as director.\

Folsom doesn’t have a produced feature film yet on her resume, but her script “1969: A Space Odyssey or How Kubrick Learned to Stop Worrying and Land on the Moon” landed on the 2013 Black List, the annual survey recognizing acclaimed unproduced screenplays.

As noted by THR, Folsom is the latest of multiple female screenwriters to work for Marvel Studios, including Nicole Perlman, who worked on the “Guardians of the Galaxy” script and is co-writing “Captain Marvel” with “Inside Out” writer Meg LeFauve.

Starring Chris Hemsworth in his latest turn as the titular God of Thunder, “Thor: Ragnarok” is scheduled for release on July 28, 2017.
