Martin Freeman teases he is playing Everett K. Ross in ‘Captain America: Civil War’

Martin Freeman.

Aiight. Marvel Fanboy reporting Deep Shame. I have no idea who the fuck Everett K. Ross is, so I have no idea if Martin Freeman is actively teasing that he is portraying the character. Community? Help?

The Mary Sue:

Judging by the details he shared in this mini video Q&A with BadTaste.it, Martin Freeman may have just revealed his role in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War movie. If you’re trying to dodge spoilers no matter how minor, then consider this your first and final warning: there’s some bits in here that you might not appreciate.

In the video, Freeman is trying his best to be as ambiguous and vague as possible, but he’s just specific enough that he’s pretty much confirmed that he’ll be playing Everett K. Ross, as we reported before. His description from the video is as follows:

He works for the American government. He works in conjunction with the superheroes, and certain agencies that help to tame the superheroes’ power, I suppose. So you’re not quite sure which side he’s on. It looks a little bit like he’s playing one game when actually he’s playing another. It’s the kind of character I like because it’s ambiguous and because you don’t know whether he’s good or bad.

For those of you who don’t know, Everett K. Ross is an agent who is an expert in Wakandan relations. Given that we already know Wakanda has been featured in Age of Ultron, and will be featured in Civil War and again when we finally get our Black Panther movie, it makes sense that we’re also getting introduced to Everett K. Ross.
