‘Grand Theft Auto 5’ hitting XB1 & PS4 on Nov 18. PC, uh, next year

Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto 5 is one of the releases I’m anticipating most this Fall for Gen8 consoles. Such is the state of the console generation at this point. Remasters and third-party titles not exclusive to this generation. But let me stop myself, lest I complain too much. Because I am very excited for this title, which I never got to play last year.

Joystiq:

Rockstar Games announced this morning that the next-gen console versions of Grand Theft Auto 5 will arrive in two months, with the PC version driving in early next year. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will arrive on November 18, while the PC edition follows on January 27, 2015. Developer Rockstar highlights improvements to the versions of the sinful sandbox available on Xbox 360 and PS3 include new weapons, vehicles and activities, more wildlife, denser traffic (sitting in that is always fun!), new foliage system (wow, so lush, very green) and enhanced damage and weather effects.  Additionally, the next-gen versions will have “over 100 additional new songs and new DJ mixes,” along with all previously released content for Grand Theft Auto Online available. Fret not, current Xbox 360 and PS3 owners of the game, for you will be able to transfer your current GTA 5 “characters and progression” to your choice of PS4, Xbox One or PC.

I’m sold! Anyone else snagging this? Or play it last year?
