BRYAN SINGER is directing pilot of VINCE GILLIGAN’S CBS series. Gurglingvomitgurlging

Bryan Singer.

Bryan Singer just up and shitting on my life. I thought I had to merely endure him squat-thrusting dump-juice all over the X-Men. Now the son of a bitch has ingrained himself in the pilot for Vinny Gilligan’s next show.

THR reports that Bryan Singer has signed up to direct the pilot episode of “Battle Creek,” the new show from Gilligan and former “House” honcho David Shore. Singer was a longtime producer on the medical drama, and also directed two episodes in the first season — the pilot and “Occam’s Razor.” So he’s back with familiar creative talent for this one. The show will star Dean Winters, Kal Penn and Janet McTeer, and will tell the story of an FBI agent and detective tasked with cleaning up the titular Michigan city, but with very little resources at their disposal.

No word yet on when production will begin, but a thirteen episode order is already up for the first season, so we presume once Singer is done with his “X-Men: Days Of Future Past” duties, he’ll be right on this.
