Cosplay: This gorgeous handmade ‘SKYRIM’ armor will have you in a fantastical swoon. Crap puns.

Goddamn. This Skyrim cosplay is taking it to the upper level. One could even say it was, wait for it, omega level. I’m all wilin’ out, dropping terrible puns and nonsensical blather. Business as usual. Anyways, anyways. This isn’t about me. It’s about this wonderful handmade armor.

Fashionably Geek:

If you’ve played Skyrim, you’ve probably oohed and aahed over some of the equipment in the game. Cosplaying duo Sheila and Sylar loved the world of the game and decided to take a stab at making Nightingale Armor. We’ve seen the final product in the past, but now we have more details about the process. It’s made from craft foam and then painted to look like leather. Yeah, my mind is boggled as well.

The entirety of this armor is made from craft foam, that was sealed, detailed (with hot glue and carving into the foam) and then painted to resemble leather texture. It is all heated into shape and then attached directly onto a base black catsuit.

The bracers are attached to gloves, and the armor below the waist is actually attached to a detachable belt. All of the silver adornments, buckles and rivets were sculpted from sculpy and sprayed silver. The face mask is also craft foam, simply glued onto a ski mask. The head and cape were sewn from scratch and attach via some metal snaps on the suit.
