Someday, Black Adam and Superman are going to punch one another a lot. Which sounds fantastic. Until then, we’re going to have to sate our lust for the two of them onscreen together with a picture of the two beefcake actors playing the characters.

It could be quite a while before Superman battles Black Adam on the big screen, so until then fans will have to be satisfied with seeing them sit down for drinks, “like gentleman.”

On Sunday Superman actor Henry Cavill delivered holiday greetings with a photo of himself and actor Dwayne Johnson, writing, “Merry Christmas a Happy New Year from Superman and Black Adam @therock. Today we drink like gentleman and come together as friends. We’re excited for what the future brings.”
Although the final sentence is a little vague, the accompanying hashtag “DCWorldsWillColide” seems a bit more concrete, and will surely reignite speculation that Superman and Black Adam will face off in a Warner Bros. film.

It was confirmed in August that the long-in-development “Shazam” movie will indeed be set in the same cinematic universe as “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Justice League,” which undoubtedly led to rumors of the hero’s introduction in the latter. Johnson, to date the only actor cast in “Shazam,” said in April that he would love to see his villainous Black Adam take on the Man of Steel, but, it “Won’t happen in the first movie.”
