Quentin Tarantino POSTPONES ‘THE HATEFUL EIGHT’ after script leak. C’mon broooo

Quentin Tarantino.

Sad guy Quentin Tarantino. Apparently his next project was (I didn’t know this) The Hateful Eight. However the script for that little ditty leaked, and now Tarantino has a case of the butt-hurts. Yup. He’s talking his cinematic ball home, and we can all get fucked! Seriously though — he is rocking the feint that he isn’t making Hateful Eight into a movie anymore. I don’t know, yo. I’m hard pressed to believe this.

Just a few days after the title of Quentin Tarantino‘s next project was revealed to be The Hateful Eight, the director has indefinitely delayed the film. The reason? He’s “very, very depressed” after learning that someone has leaked the screenplay.

But there’s hope yet that we’ll get to see the story — just not necessarily in movie form. Tarantino is reportedly considering publishing the script as a novel, with the possibility of a movie adaptation down the line. Hit the jump for the latest updates.

Deadline learned of Tarantino’s intentions in an interview today. “I’m very, very depressed,” he said. “I finished a script, a first draft, and I didn’t mean to shoot it until next winter, a year from now. I gave it to six people, and apparently it’s gotten out today.”

Currently, Tarantino’s plan is to meet with publishers this week about turning The Hateful Eight into a book. “I’m going to publish it, and that’s it for now,” he said. “I give it out to six people and if I can’t trust them to that degree, then I have no desire to make it. I’ll publish it. I’m done.”

C’mon Tarantino! I haven’t read it. I’m sure it’s wonderful! I’m sure it’d be wonderful even if I had read it. Cheer up, buddy.
