‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ Trailer: Emphasis On Beasts

I’m still wading through the seemingly unconquerable amount of SDCC news that drifted into the sewer of pop culture wherein I live. So forgive me for just finding this trailer. Which, I’m going to admit, I enjoyed.

UPROXX:

Ah, San Diego Comic-Con. Full of fantastic trailers and subsequently, it’s also where to find them. That’s a wonderful thing for fans of the wizarding world of Harry Potter since Warner Bros. and the minds behind Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them have released a new action-packed trailer. My big takeaway is that Newt Scamander is kind of an accidental terrorist. Just look at that destruction. What a rascal.

In this latest trailer, we get a good look at the massive amounts of destruction Newt’s errant beasts (which are documented in Harry’s book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in the beginning of movie/book one as he starts his Hogwarts schooling) will wreak upon 1926 New York City. Wizard geeks will also enjoy seeing the American magical community and their underground digs, along with Colin Farrell, who has a very wizardly haircut.

It’s easy to get excited for Fantastic Beasts — it’s the first “Harry Potter” movie in over five years, and the beginning of a new trilogy (that’s already been written so we don’t have any overlap *cough* George *cough*).

Well, I guess calling it a Harry Potter movie is wrong. It’s a J.K. Rowling wizard tale, and it’s dropping November 18th, 2016.
