Chuck Palahniuk is publishing an adult coloring book. Take that for what you will. Through Dark Horse comics. I will not buy it. For myself. But maybe I will buy it for my wife.

CBR:

This October, Dark Horse will release an adult coloring book unlike any other — one written by bestselling author Chuck Palahniuk (“Fight Club,” “Lullaby”) and featuring art from Lee Bermejo, Kirbi Fagan, Duncan Fegredo, Alise Gluškova, Joëlle Jones, Steve Morris, Tony Puryear and Marc Scheff. “Bait: Off-Color Stories For You To Color” is a collection of eight short stories all illustrated in black and white by the artists. Each one of the bizarre tales will also be paired with nearly 50 pieces of original art, designed for readers to color in.

Among the stories Included in the collection are ones about the Titanic, a scatological internet campaign, an animal psychic, and one girl’s involvement with an extinction-level event. “Maybe between your colors, the artists’ designs, and my stories we can create something that endures,” said Palahniuk in the press release. “Something worth keeping. Let’s create a well-bound book that can sit on any shelf and be available for a new generation to discover and enjoy.”

“Bait” will arrive in stores this October in a hardcover format with uncoated, white interior paper stock. The collection’s cover comes from Fegredo and was designed by Nate Piekos. “Bait: Off-Color Stories For You To Color” arrives in stores on October 26.
