‘Doctor Strange’ Photos and Art: Astral Projection of potential rockin’

Doctor Briar-Person

I’m really digging how fucking odd and out there Doctor Strange is shaping up to be. Time travel? Astral projection? Yes please. Yes please x everything.

CBR:

Several new photos and some pieces of concept art reveal “Doctor Strange’s” Sanctum Sanctorum, his base of operations, and offer more glimpses of Benedict Cumberbatch in the role (via Entertainment Weekly).”There’s all sorts of craziness [in Doctor Strange],” Cumberbatch shared. “Falling, flying, jumping, fighting, punching, getting punched. It’s really rough and tumble.”

“I’m perpetually awestruck that I’m getting to make this movie,” added director Scott Derrickson. “I keep waiting for the knock on the door when somebody says, ‘This movie’s too weird, we can’t make this.'”

Fans will be familiar with the Sanctum Sanctorum, Stephen Strange’s three-story townhouse at 177A Bleecker Street in New York’s Greenwich Village, which you can see in the top right photo. The concept art also reveals the aftermath of Strange’s accident, which renders him unable to use his hands for surgery and drives him into the mystic arts.
