Bethesda announces a presser for E3 2016; most delicious!
Last year at their presser, Bethesda dropped Fallout 4. This game has gone on to amass hundreds upon hundreds of hours in my PS4. So while I don’t anticipate a reveal of *that* magnitude on a personal level, I’m stoked to see what they bring to their presser this year.
Bungie President Steps Down; ‘Destiny 2’ reportedly delayed
Man. I really liked The Taken King. But then I was told, “Oh yeah, no more thick, glorious content-based DLC for the expansion”, which seemed somewhere between insulting and ludicrous. Not how you manage a fanbase, Bungie. Then! I was told this was because Destiny 2 is dropping this year. It wasn’t a valid excuse to me, but it was a reason. Now! It appears that we ain’t getting Destiny 2 this year *and* Bungie’s president is stepping down.
‘Song of the Deep’ Reveal Trailer: Insomniac Games goes for underwater beauty
Today, Insomniac Games has revealed their next game, Sony of the Deep. It’s a gorgeous, gorgeous 2D underwater adventure, from the looks of it. Can’t wait to see more of the game from the company, whose Ratchet & Clank series remains one of my all time favorites.
‘Monument Valley’ soundtrack getting vinyl release; pre-orders today!
Monument Valley is objectively awesome. One of the reasons it is so objectively awesome is its soundtrack, which complimented the wonderful visuals, and atmosphere.
‘Street Fighter V’ Cinematic Story Trailer: Story Mode coming post launch, for free
Street Fighter V is going to get itself a story mode, but it ain’t coming until after launch. I can’t imagine this is terribly exciting and/or disappointing for fans of the franchise. Is it? Like, those of you who were buying Day One weren’t going to be expecting or wanting a story mode. Were you? I mean, I think it’s a neat addition, especially since it’s going to be free. But is that where it stops, “neat addition”? I don’t know. I’m #casual af when it comes to the series.
Watch: Pokémon 20th Anniversary Super Bowl Commercial
I’m not going to lie. I never got down with Pokemon back in the day. I wrongly poo-poo’d it as “kiddie nonsense”, apparently twenty years ago. At the time I was listening to Megadeth, jerking off compulsively, and playing “real games!” like Twisted Metal or some shit. Now, obviously I do all that still, swapping out Twisted Metal for Fallout 4. But I’m intrigued by Pokemon these days, seeing its allure and OCD-influenced live-ruining potential, and despite having never played the title, this commercial is all sorts of awesome none the less.
‘Mighty No. 9’ delayed for a third time until…Spring 2016
Yeah. I don’t know, man. Mighty No. 9 looks like a fun enough game, but all of these delays are making me anxious. The time was supposed to drop February 9, but now it has been delayed to the foreboding, vague, “Spring 2016”. Whelp.
