‘Mirror’s Edge 2’ dropping early 2016
I never played Mirror’s Edge. Maybe I played the demo? But I know it was an esoteric game with a cult following that didn’t sell extraordinarily well. So I’m stoked on principle that it is getting a sequel, and it has a tentative release date.
‘Arkham Knight’ Season Pass Details: Batgirl standalone story arc, Nightwing, more
Looks like Batman: Arkham Knight is making a strong push to get me to rescind my “Fuck it, I’m done buying Season Passes for Games” proclamation. The (post?) game is dropping a litany of content, but most importantly? A fucking Batgirl standalone arc.
‘Banjo-Kazooie’ creators reveal its spiritual sequel, ‘Yooka-Laylee.’
You know. I ain’t opposed to classic developers creating spiritual sequels to franchises. I mean. Look at Mighty No. 9. But Yooka-Laylee? Oh my. I don’t know.

I actually hated Watch Dogs a lot less than most people. It was enough entertainment to have me running around Digi-Chicago for some forty+ hours while recognizing that the game wasn’t that good. So I’m excited about a sequel to a game that I marginally enjoyed, and whose creators admit they need to improve upon.
‘Mighty No. 9’ dropping September 15, will have retail release
The spiritual successor to Mega Man totally, totally has a release date now. Despite getting delayed, like, pinky swear. It’s dropping September 15, and you’ll be able to buy it in stores.
‘Gears of War’ remaster dropping this year on XB1
Gears of War is getting a remaster on XB1. And it doesn’t matter if you’re cool with it or not. Or if you’re like me, and you’re not cool with it for some vague undefined reason but you’re going to buy it anyways. The remasters are coming. All of them. All the franchises. Especially when real sequels for the franchises they’re a part of, are far away.
