‘Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2’ Trailer: Wait, I thought we already did that

Man, I didn’t think I would like Wreck-It Ralph. But, I did. Man, I didn’t think I would get excited for a sequel. But, I am.

Polygon:

What if it was Wreck-It Ralph that broke the internet, not Kim Kardashian?

The first teaser trailer for Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 toes that line of questioning, combining popular internet memes and websites to reimagine the virtual world. There’s an eBay auction, for example, that Ralph and Vanellope stumble onto for a very important velvet painting of a sad cat.

The trailer ends with an adorable mini-game that includes feeding milkshakes and pancakes to a tiny kitten and rabbit; again, if that doesn’t sum up the lighter parts of the internet perfectly, what does?

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 co-director Rich Moore said part of the reason the team decided to pull Ralph out of the arcade cabinet and throw him onto the internet was to allow for bigger storytelling blocks.

“To take these characters we love and have them enter the enormous world of the internet has given us so much to explore,” Moore said.

That much is clear from the trailer. Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 will be released on Nov. 21.
