‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Trailer: Well, at least it has Jeff Goldblum

Here’s a trailer for the stupid follow to the stupid movie, Jurassic World. It is equal parts, lame, banal, and forced, but at least it has Jeff Goldblum.

AV Club:

There are a lot of amazing creatures in the world of Jurassic Park (and its recent blockbuster sequel, Jurassic World), but few can match the raw majesty of the franchise’s apex predator: Jeff Goldblum, hamming it up and having a blast. Tonight’s new trailer for the upcoming Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom features a lot of explosions and roaring beasties, but few are as shocking or mesmerizing as the sight of Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm, front-and-center in the much-anticipated chaos.
Meanwhile, the trailer also serves up plenty of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, gamely outlining the film’s premise at each other: A volcano is threatening the dino inhabitants of the island, and it’s up to humanity to once again meddle in nature’s dinosaur-hating designs to save them (including Pratt’s old velociraptor buddy, Blue). We might argue that “erupting volcano” is probably overkill, spectacle-wise, when you’ve already got a whole island of dinos, but then we got distracted by Goldblum again, so, hey, why the hell not?
