‘Baby Driver’ Trailer: Edgar Wright Returns With A Slick Heist Movie

Edgar Wright is back, baby (driver)! Dude has been quiet since dropping out of Ant-Man, but the trailer for his next flick brings the goods. A stacked cast, some great driving sequences, and the typical Wright-Auteur style. Can’t wait.

The Verge:

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a movie from director Edgar Wright. He was supposed to helm Ant-Man in 2015, but after dropping out of that project, we knew he was working on a crime comedy known as Baby Driver. Four years later, a couple of trailers have now given us our first look at the film.

Baby Driver follows a kid named Baby (Ansel Elgort) who works as a getaway driver for Doc (Kevin Spacey), a local crime boss, and his crew. We learn that Baby was in an car accident as a kid, and to cope, he uses music to drown out the ringing in his ears. That little detail likely means we’ll get a good soundtrack to accompany some excellent-looking car chases as Baby tries to get out from the grips of the people who control him.
