Yeah, I know that everyone already knows this. But, what do you want from me? I was away from my computer(s) all day.

Polygon:

Stranger Things, the surprise hit series that debuted on Netflix earlier this summer, has been renewed for a second season.

Netflix announced today that the nine-episode second season would debut sometime in 2017, but did not specify if it would again be in the summer or if it would be bumped to the first or latter half of the year. Creators and executive producers Matt and Ross Duffer will return for the second season, but Netflix has not confirmed if the cast from the first season would be back. Although, during the show’s panel at the Television Critics Association conference earlier this month, star Winona Ryder said she would be more than interested in returning for the second season, which was echoed by the various child actors who starred in the first.

Stranger Things follows the investigation into the disappearance of a small boy in a local town and the abnormal circumstances surrounding what has happened to him. According to reports from some analyst firms, it has become one of Netflix’s most watched series.
