‘Resident Evil 7’ Trailer: Surival Horror Comes To Bayou

I really want this game to be good.

Polygon:

There’s still quite a bit unknown about Capcom’s upcoming zombie survival game,Resident Evil 7 biohazard, but today the studio released a new trailer that highlights some of the gameplay and aesthetic of the title.

The trailer focuses on a character named Mia as she explores the creepy house where the infected are running amok. Although players won’t get to take on Mia in the game itself, the found-footage style tape does give some more information about the world they’ll be able to explore. For example, the trailer confirms that the house players were able to explore in the demo Capcom released during E3 in June is a plantation in Louisiana run by Jack and Marguerite Baker. The latter of the two makes an appearance in the trailer and it’s pretty obvious she isn’t a fan of having unannounced visitors appear at her doorstep.

The trailer also confirms that Capcom will be returning to the series’ roots when it comes to gameplay, focusing on traditional exploration puzzles that fans of the original titles will appreciate. Resident Evil’s classic inventory system will also make a return in biohazard.

Resident Evil 7 biohazard is set to be released Jan. 24 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One andWindows PC. The game will also be available in full VR for Sony’s highly anticipated PS4 add on, PlayStation VR.
