What is going to follow-up Secret Wars! Well, it’s an event! Sooo. New adjectives! And a new status quo! Fucking duh!

CBR:

Marvel Comics looks to get its fans talking headed into the long weekend with its latest teaser, proclaiming an “All-New, All Different Marvel” is on the way for this fall. It’s happening “8 Months Later” — likely referring to the eight-month timeline jump following the conclusion its currently ongoing “Secret Wars” event.

“All-New, All-Different” is a phrase with decades of history at the publisher, dating back to 1975’s “Giant-Size X-Men” #1, which revived the team and added Wolverine, Storm, Colossus and Nightcrawler to the roster. A post-“Secret Wars” “All-New, All Different Avengers” team — featuring Ms. Marvel, Nova, and the Ultimate Spider-Man, Miles Morales, among its membership — has already been seen, in one of Marvel’s Free Comic Book Day releases earlier this month.

In an interview with Marvel.com earlier this week, Marvel Senior Vice President of Publishing Tom Brevoort disclosed that following “Secret Wars,” storylines will move forward eight months in the new Marvel Universe.

“In the same way that events jumped forward in time eight months in ‘Avengers’ and ‘New Avengers’ during the lead-up to ‘Secret Wars,’ so too when we enter the new Marvel Universe eight months will have passed for all of the characters as well,” Brevoort said. “This provides our creators, even apart from Secret Wars, to drop into exciting new situations and status quos on the fly. So look for surprises and mysteries and changes galore as series resume in the new MU.”
