Bethesda hiring for unannounced NEXT-GEN CONSOLE GAME. Fallout 5: New Tokyo?!

Fallout is fucking back

Bethesda is hiring for an unannounced next-gen game. If I had my druthers, I would bet that it is Fallout 5: New Tokyo, starring Vin Diesel. Perhaps fortunately I am broke, and so those who are smart enough to take me up on that bet are incapable of doing so.

The Verge:

Bethesda Game Studios, developers of the Elder Scrolls series of role-playing games, is hiring programmers for an unannounced next-gen console game, according to a job posting on its parent company’s website.

ZeniMax Media’s job listing for a “Future Generation Console Programmer” calls for “experienced programmers to work on cutting-edge technology for an unannounced game on future-generation consoles.” Applicants need at least five years of game development experience, must have shipped multiple titles and have “extensive experience” with PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Time spent with DirectX 11 and Bethesda Game Studios’ games are also pluses.

Sources familiar with Sony and Microsoft’s plans told Polygon that each company’s next-gen consoles would be unveiled in the coming months and launch in time for the holidays.

Just this morning, the developer of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim announced that three DLC packs would make their way to PlayStation 3 in February with half price discounts in their first week of release.
