Marvel Teases The RETURN OF JEAN GREY In Entertainment Weekly? Bring Back Red.

Fuckkkkkkkk Emma Frost and her bourgeoisie swagger. Please let Jean Grey return in a hail of fiery telekinectic fury, vaporizing that posh hag.

Comics Alliance:

If you thought that the debut of the Phoenix Five was shocking, Marvel Comics is teasing an even bigger reveal for the later issues of Avengers vs. X-Men – even if it’s one that some people have been waiting for since the first announcement of the series. Potential spoilers ahead.

According to a report in Entertainment Weekly, it’s possible that Jean Grey — AKA the original Phoenix — may return to the Marvel Universe following the end of the current event mini-series. The website shares a section of an image from Marvel CCO Joe Quesada that will, it says, “build of the current Avengers Vs. X-Men crossover and radically alter the Marvel universe as you know it,” that features Grey in her original Marvel Girl costume.

“Does this mean that the fan-favorite character is finally returning?” the website asks, before explaining that it “can only confirm that her presence in the Marvel universe will not be imaginary. This will not be part of the Ultimate line-up. She will not be a zombie hologram, like Shard on X-Factor.” That leaves all manner of alternate fake-outs available, including flashbacks, time-travel or, everyone’s favorite, Skrulls in disguise.
This isn’t the first time that Marvel has teased Jean Grey’s return from the dead since her second death at the end of Grant Morrison’s New X-Men run; a “leaked” page from Joss Whedon and John Cassaday’s Astonishing X-Men did the very same thing in order to obscure the story’s true purpose of bringing Colossus back from the dead.

EW promises “all the secrets will be revealed” tomorrow.
