[WEEKEND OPEN BAR: The one-stop ramble about anything weekend post at OL. Tell us how drunk you are. Or about a comic you bought. Something you saw at the local Target while buying three pounds of Laffy Taffy.]

All right so last weekend’s open bar experiment didn’t really go that well. Truthfully, nothing really goes over that well on the weekend. All of ya’ll are out being human beings, interacting with the other rounds of animated flesh-pods. I can’t blame you for that.

    This weekend OL’s own Patrick Coops is returning to the great state in which I love. I imagine there will be at least one oak soda-fueled conversation about Star Wars tonight between him and myself.

    Unfortunately I can’t cut too much of a fucking rug, ’cause I have a goddamn paper to write. Eight pages on Dracula. When am I starting it? Oh Jesus Lord.

    Most importantly, you all need to be playing Max Payne 3. I started it last night. Two pills and alcohol-soaked thumbs up.

    I just fell asleep watching 30 rock hungover and had a dream that the only toilet was outside the basketball court surrounded by a chain link fence but I desperately had to poop so I went for it. Problem was Tracy Jordan was shooting a music.video out there and me on the toilet was in the shot. The rest of.the black dudes were pretty cool about it because hey, everybody poops,yknow? I even got one of those “chest fist, then point it at you” black respect things while I had.my pants around my ankles in front of this audience. But Tracy was pissed! He pulled up a chair and sat.right in front of m and was like “everybody can see that we stopped shooting, this will fuck with my rep” etc, I tried not to be intimidated and tried to hurry.up and wipe but.there was so much fucking poop I just couldn’t wipe it off, the log was only.half passed and each wipe was just like decapitating the newest centimeter to.get pushed out. Tracy thought this was hilarious and as I struggled he was like “oh man I feel that. Feels like a grape. You Eva touch a grape?!”. Well this made us both laugh our asses off…I remember gasping out “I’m sitting in my own filth in public” between fits of laughter. Then I woke up, opened facebook on my phone, came here and typed this.

    I’m sorry I ruined open bar.

    I think my hang over is finally starting to go away. I’m stuck in my sweat box of an apartment today waiting for the UPS guy to deliver my fuckin AC. Its like 100 degrees in NYC and im stuck on a fifth floor walk up. Atleast i got a fan, the internet, and no shame of sitting in front of the warming glow of my laptop in the dark when its a beautiful sunny day outside. Fuck that Count of Monte Cristo is on ABC Family and i cant find the remote. So yea thats my day, once the AC arrives I will begin the nightly ritual of getting shit faced and wander from bar to bar.

    Just finished Max Payne 3 the other week and it was great. I literally was yelling at the TV “This is what happens when you fuck with MAX PAYNE!!!!!” as I pumped round after slow motion round into the last guy. Great story and it ends very well. Im playing Journey now I have no idea why it took me so long to finally get it.

    Watched “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans” last night, and that movie is the best, best, best worst movie I’ve ever seen. Nic Cage is goddamned amazing, shot by Werner Herzog with a silly (mock?) sincerity that was mesmerizing.
    Doing some writing today. That Fiasco game I played last weekend really got some pistons firing for fiction writing.
    Reading Hyperion again, because I love the structure, and has a couple of pretty brilliant stories in it. I’m amazed that the book isn’t seen for being as prescient as it seems to be (it was written in the 80′s). Anyone who loves sci-fi/fantasy HAS to check it out.
    Really wishing I could play some Skyrim this weekend, but I’m busy, and the X-Box is still packed away from the move, and I’m magnificently lazy.
    Drinking some Mothership Wit, and letting the good hops talk talk to me.

    Just waking up bout half an hour ago. dont want to go downstairs and pick up the bottles but do want a breakfast burrito. sacrifices must be made. Saw Ted yesterday. Must dig out Flash Gordon and give that a watch today. not to be confused with Flesh Gordon, which one of my exes told me she had seen with her father when she was younger, explaining a lot about her and our relationship. Back to Flash, need to see Brian Blessed in all his non Augustus glory. Cleaned out my box at the comic shop. a lot of stuff I had been putting off. perpetually holding on to it for next week and next week never came, that is, until yesterday. Now I am sitting on a stack of GI Joe comics which will appropriately be read this Independence Day weekend/week

    I’m bummed about Skyrim, since pretty much everything I’ve read about Dawnguard says it ain’t worth buying. I imagine I’ll snag it on the cheap sometime.

    I still haven’t finished the main quest in Skyrim (or the “Civil War” quest, for that matter), so I’ve still got plenty to munch on before I decide to drop coins on Dawnguard.
    Simple move across Naptown. Nothing spectacular, but I had moved to an area that was pretty ghetto.

    God damn! You haven’t? I loved the Civil War one. It’s a testament to Skyrim that so much enjoyment can be gathered just from bandying about.

    Just got back from Maine, doing some heavy-duty drinking and lounging by/on a lake. It’s crazy how exhausting doing nothing can make you.This phenomenon may be the height of the so-called first-world problems, but I am certainly not complaining one bit. It was a very nice time that does wonders for the ol’ psyche,

    Haha just reading the comments on here is wonderful. It’s amazing to me how we are all suffering hangovers. Says a lot about how dope the Omegas are. I got my drank on Friday and Saturday nights and my body is hating me for it. I’m at work and wondering what kind of drink I could possibly make to make this better. Went with a large ginger and chamomile tea. Actually helped a bit.

    I drank a fucking pitcher of Harpoon IPA last night. I thought I was splitting it (even 75/25) with the girlfriend, but I was tricked. She didn’t even finish her first glass, and every time I turned around she was pouring me more.

    Mercifully, I wasn’t that hungover today. I’ve blasted through a solid nine pages of my paper on a caffeinated razor’s edge.
